How to get your own Google key？

To obtain a Google Gemini API key, you need to follow these steps:

Step 1: Create a Google Cloud account

  1. Visit the Google Cloud 官网 and log in to your Google account.
  2. If it is your first time using it, you need to set up billing information (Google Cloud provides a certain amount of free credit, but you may need to bind a credit card).
  3. Click to enter “Console”.

Step 2: Create a new project

1. In the Google Cloud console, click “New Project” in the upper left corner.

    2. Click New Project, enter a project name, and click Create.

      3. After the project is created, select the project.

      Step 3: Enable Cloud Translation API

      1. In the Google Cloud console, go to APIs & Services > Libraries.

        2. Search for “Cloud Translation API”.

        3. Click the “Enable” button.

          Step 4: Create an API Key

          1. In the Google Cloud console, go to “APIs and Services” > “Credentials”.

            2. Click Create Credentials and select API Key.

            3. Once generated, you will see a new API Key, copy and save it.

              Step 5: Configure API Key permissions (optional, but recommended)

              1. On the “APIs & Services” > “Credentials” page, find the API Key you just created.
              2. Click “Edit” and you can:
              • Restrict API access: Select “Generative AI API” as the restricted API.
              • Restrict origins (recommended): Only allow specific IPs or domains to access the API for increased security.
              1. Save settings.

              How to translate with api key？

              1. Go to the “Dashboard” page and click “Translate” to enter the “Translation Settings” page.

                2. On the translation settings page, find the “AI Models” module. Click the “Custom API key” button to enter the API Key configuration page.

                3. In the form on the API Key configuration page, find the API Key input box. Enter the API key you obtained from Cloud Translation API.

                4. In the form, find the Quota Limit input box. Enter the API quota limit according to your needs.
                Tips:
                When using this function, we only consume the quota of the corresponding interface and no additional fees will be charged.
                Please set quota limits carefully to avoid exceeding the third-party API quota and incurring additional fees.

                5. Confirm that the API Key and quota limit are entered correctly. Click the “Save” button to complete the configuration.

                6. When using a personal key for translation, select the language you want to translate on the translation settings page, select the translation model “Google Cloud Translation”, and click the “Translate” button to use the personal key for translation.

                7. If you no longer use your personal key for translation, you can delete your personal key configuration by clicking the “Delete” button.
